CNU Intramural Games opening was a success amid rain.

Moments during the Openeing Ceremony of this year's Intramural Games with the theme of "Brawl of Brains and Brawn: The CNU Synergy"

          Cebu Normal University (CNU) Intramural Games 2015 opening program held at Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC) was successful amid rainfall.

 

          The Intramurals for this year was themed as “Brawl of Brains and Brawn: The CNU Synergy”.

 

          The crowd went wild cheering for their colleges as they entered the gates of CCSC. The drumbeat got louder as the Drum and Bugle Corps lead the parade of the athletic delegation.

 

          The sea of blue were in high spirits as the College of Teacher Education graced their way as they entered the sports center.

 

          The College of Arts and Sciences were welcomed with booming chants from their fellow liberals.

 

          The College of Nursing traverse the oval with their green and white colors.

 

          The fourth unit, CNU-Balamban perambulated with smiles as they fashioned their shades of ma-

roon.

 

          Following them where the delegates of CNU-Medellin which tinted the oval with their violet and

yellow colors.

 

          Behind them where the tournament managers and officiating officials.

 

          Heavy rain delayed the thrill and excitement of the students but even with the interruption, the Normalians showed enthusiasm and waited eagerly until the rain stop falling.

 

           And the show went on as Dr. Janice Gabayan and Mr. Kim Rodriguez hosted the opening ceremonies.

 

           The University’s Chorale then graced their melodic voices leading the crowd to sing the Doxology, National Anthem and the CNU Hymn.

 

           Dr. Bibiana T. Isok, CNU-Vice President for Academic Affairs, emphasized on her welcome address that through the “Brawls of Brains & Brawns” of the students, synergy can be attained. Dr. Isok then proceeded to officially open the this year’s Intramural Games.

 

          The College Deans and Administrators were assisted by their college representatives as the hosted the delegation banners.

 

          This was followed by the lighting of the Flame of Friendship and Sportsmanship done by Andre Rey Piencevanes and the Oath of Sportsmanship led by Cyra Mae Enero whom both were Arnis Gold Medalist of the National SCUAA 2014.

Delegates were welcomed by this year’s candidates of MR. & MS. CNU in their dance number.

 

           The 1,500 Physical Education 3 students performed their Arnis Demonstration, students were awed how synchronized their movements were.

 

           Physical Education 1 students wowed the crowd as they dance to the beat of “Evolution of Music.”

 

          As the opening ceremony ended, the students walked out of the CCSC in a good vibe and big smiles on their faces.

 

Audience opened their umbrellas

when the rain delayed the opening

ceremony.
